The Gun Shop USA is not affiliated with any listed dealers and cannot choose or recommend one for you. Some dealers are restricted and cannot be used… please see the list below.
Before You Choose an FFL Dealer, Please Confirm:
- They are open and operating at the listed address.
- Their address matches what we have on file.
- They accept deliveries from USPS, UPS, and FedEx.
- If they use a different mailing address, let us know in advance.
- They accept direct drop shipments from distributors.
- The firearm is legal in your area (or verified with your FFL).
- They will complete the firearm transfer to you.
IMPORTANT: Some distributors will not ship to home-based FFLs. This may require a change in the FFL dealer, or extra shipping to have it shipped to us first, so that we can ship to your home-based FFL dealer.
Never assume: Just because a dealer is on our list doesn’t mean all of the above is true. Dealer policies change often. Verifying this information now will avoid costly delays or fees later.
Please notify us before placing your order if your selected FFL dealer:
- Has restrictions for specific carriers
- Uses a mailing address not listed on their license
Shipping to an unverified or incorrect address may result in returned packages and additional shipping charges. We can only ship to addresses listed on the dealer’s FFL.
FFL License Copies
We require a copy of the dealer’s FFL if:
- They are not listed in green
- The copy we have is expired
To help speed things up, your dealer can email their FFL to info@thegunshopusa.com. We’ll notify you if we experience delays obtaining it.
Dealers shown in green already have a valid FFL on file, but you should still verify their shipping and transfer policies.

- Scheels Sports – Any Location
- Rural King (RK) – Any Location
- Academy, Bass Pro, Cabela’s – Must confirm with store manager
- Firearm Manufacturers (e.g., Glock, Sig, Ruger, etc.)
There may be others. Always confirm acceptance with your chosen dealer. Many large chains no longer process transfers, even if their staff says otherwise.
